Swedish photographer Nicklas Wijkmark portrays wild animals and landscapes all over the world. Nicklas likes variation and challenges. His philosophy is that no subject is too large or too small and that no place on earth is too far away or too close to home.
I was born
in Stockholm in
1981. I have a degree in biology and earth science from Stockholm University
and a great interest in ecological interactions in nature. Although I often
document the life or behaviour of a species, in my images I most of all strive
for describing the feeling of being at a certain place or experiencing wild
animals in their natural environment. I photograph animals and landscapes in
wild places all over the world, but I still find the nature south of Stockholm as fascinating
as rainforest and other exotic places.
My images are represented in nature magazines as well as exhibitions. Since 2009 I’m also
affiliated to the picture agency Azote. I work with longer as well as shorter projects, assignments, stock images, lectures and courses. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you are
interested in my pictures.
